The International Golfers Cub was launched in 1990 specifically to satisfy the need for every golfer Worldwide to be able to obtain a properly monitored handicap whether a member of a private golf club or not. The International Handicapping Scheme is based on the handicapping rules adopted throughout the World (other than North America) and relies on the score cards returned by members, hopefully on a regular basis so that new handicap certificates are issued regularly to those members whose handicap has altered. For anyone new to golf, your handicap card is essential, and lets other golfers know your level of ability. More and more courses in the great golfing destinations such as Spain and Portugal are demanding to see a proper handicap card. Our handicapping scheme is based on the rules laid down by CONGU, as used by private clubs, which enables fair competition between all golfers. On joining, all you need to do is submit three scorecards, correctly marked and signed OR a copy of your Platzreife Certificate (handicap 54) and you will be issued with an annual membership card showing your initial handicap.
